Farewells
Last week was a big farewell week for us: First, "Rip Van Winkle" (aka Chottu, our household help) left for his gaon on his annual chutti . I call him Mr Winkle because rousing Chottu from sleep is a feat even the loudest alarm clock cannot accomplish. I'm telling you, it ain't fun if you have to shake your servant out of deep slumber every morning so that you can get your "bed tea."
The very next day, it was Misty's turn. With mixed feelings, we returned Misty to her breeder. If Chottu could sleep, Misty could chew. Socks are predictable targets, but walls!! We had to cut her loose before she could systematically destroy our house. We miss her cute looks but she was driving us crazy. It had to stop. Our lifestyle and dogs simply don't mix. Still, Misty has given us lots of memories and we're glad we had this time together.
